Formlabs Form 4

Description

The Form 4 replaces the Form 3+'s laser engine with Formlabs' Low Force Display (LFD) technology — an array of 60 high-power LEDs paired with a large-area optical stack that cures an entire resin layer at once, delivering print speeds up to five times faster than the previous generation. Most parts under 53 mm tall finish in under two hours, and print time stays roughly constant whether the build plate holds one part or dozens, since the whole platform cures per pass rather than tracing each part with a laser. A 200 × 125 × 210 mm build volume and 50 micron pixel size with pre-tuned anti-aliasing hold ±0.15% XY dimensional tolerances, so batches of parts stay dimensionally consistent enough for injection-mold-like assemblies. Automatic resin dispensing from sealed cartridges, light-touch supports for cleaner removal, and a validated print success rate around 99% (independently measured at 98.7%) cut down on failed prints and hands-on babysitting. The printer connects over Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet or USB-C and integrates with Formlabs' PreForm software and cloud Dashboard for remote monitoring and fleet management across multiple units.
