Ultimaker 3/S5 Print Core DD 0.4

Description

The Ultimaker DD 0.4 mm print core is specifically designed for the Ultimaker Ultrafuse Support Layer filament as part of the Ultimaker Full Metal Expansion Kit. It contains embedded fibres or metal particles, which improve the mechanical properties of the printed object. These admixtures, usually in the form of glass or carbon fibres, are very abrasive and wear out normal brass nozzles extremely quickly. However, a smooth and undamaged nozzle interior is essential for a clean printing process, which is why abrasive materials are always printed using harder hotends. The Ultimaker DD print core supports only the BASF Ultrafuse Support Layer and is designed for use with the Ultimaker S5 with Air Manager, the Ultimaker S5 standalone unit and the Ultimaker S3. It has a minimum lifetime of 65 metres (500 g) of the BASF Ultrafuse Support Layer.
